MYRA  AVE. MURALS
Myra Mural III
Students at Thomas Starr King Middle School submitted 10 designs below  for Myra Mural III.
Thanks to the nearly 200 who voted via e-mail.
The people's choice was design "D" "Dream Again" with "E" &"F" close behind


The dream of the DREAM AGAIN mural became reality in October 2007 when King graduate Brandon Tu's winning design was painted on the west wall of the Myra Avenue underpass. Led by King animation  teacher Kirk Palayan, with guidance from Metro Gallery artist Heng Leng, about 30 King students participated in the beautification project.
The Myra Mural III project, spearheaded by Peter Bedard, was supported by the FHRA and GGPNC





In 2005 the first two of five murals envisioned to grace the Sunset Blvd. underpass along Myra Ave. between Fountain and Santa Monica were completed.

Myra Mural I created by artist Louis Metz on east wall of the underpass.


Myra Mural II designed and painted by King Middle School students on the west wall

 The 2007 Myra Mural III designs below were submitted by King students in teacher Kirk Palayan's animation class.
There are ten designs labeled letter "A" through "J"
