LANDSCAPING DEDICATION UNDER THE SHAKESPEARE BRIDGE
NOVEMBER 15, 2003 ![]() |
"Good things
happen when you complain," Councilman Tom LaBonge told a
gathering of about 100 neighbors, students and community leaders under
the historic Shakespeare Bridge. Neighborhood complaints sparked the project to rid the area under the bridge of problems ranging from graffiti and trash to a homeless encampment. LaBonge’s staff, city agencies, nearby schools and community groups, FHRA, LFIA and GGPNC have now cleaned up and landscaped the area. |
